The Associate of Business (AB) degree provides a strong foundation in general business principles, equipping students with essential skills in bookkeeping, business communication, small business management, data analysis, marketing strategiescustomer engagement, professionalism, and sales. In addition to general education requirements, the program offers flexible learning options, ensuring accessibility throughout the State of Utah. Graduates will be prepared for employment in small businesses and entry-level management roles.

This degree is designed to stack with aligned technical business certificates from Utah’s Technical Colleges, including programs offered at USU Blanding, USU Eastern, and USU Moab, allowing students to build on their existing credentials.

The AB degree also serves as a pathway to multiple bachelor’s degree programs. Students planning to continue their education should complete the degree while incorporating specific business courses tailored to their intended bachelor’s program. Early consultation with academic advisors is strongly recommended to ensure completion of the appropriate prerequisites.
